Riyadh Indian Association Hosts Free Cardiovascular Medical Camp

RIYADH: The Riyadh Indian Association (RIA), in collaboration with World Medical Clinic, successfully organized a free cardiovascular medical camp on Friday, providing essential healthcare services to the capital’s expatriate community. The initiative, held at the World Medical Clinic in Riyadh’s Al-Taawun district, saw a significant turnout, with over 280 beneficiaries, including women and children, receiving specialized medical attention.

RIA President Biju Joseph officially inaugurated the event, highlighting the association’s commitment to the welfare of the Indian diaspora. The ceremony also featured addresses from Secretary Isakki and Dr. Santhosh. Dr. Ponmurugan, Humanitarian Joint Convener, welcomed the attendees and outlined the camp’s objectives.

The event was attended by senior RIA officials, including Treasurer Mahesh Muraleedharan, Vice President Vivek, and Joint Secretary Muthukannan. Members of the Advisory Board, including Denny Emmatty and Ummer Kutty, alongside unit conveners, were also present to ensure the smooth coordination of the program.

Representatives from World Medical Clinic, led by owner Ahmed Ibrahim and CEO Mahmoud Metwally, played a pivotal role in the camp’s success. The clinical operations were overseen by Medical Director Dr. Jafar Shoukath and Camp Coordinator Ms. Sama, supported by a dedicated nursing team.

The camp concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Santhosh, who commended the expert medical team and RIA volunteers for their collective efforts in promoting heart health and preventive care within the community.
