
Jeddah: In a conference of Gulf Arab foreign ministers, it was said that the internal crises in Syria require a political solution. The group also agreed that serious efforts should be undertaken to end the war in Syria.

The 12-year-old Syrian conflict has claimed hundreds of lives. A political solution is required to address the situation, according to a gathering of Gulf-Arab foreign ministers. The meeting in Jeddah to address the Syrian crisis was presided over by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
The delivery of necessities to the impacted communities should be planned for. Refugees from Syria should be repatriated to their native nations. The ministers from several nations requested to establish a peaceful environment in Syria at the meeting.

In accordance with UN criteria, a Palestinian state should be established to settle the issue. Israel’s acts that disturbed the peace were denounced at the meeting. The summit was attended by the foreign ministers of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, Oman, and Qatar, and the Diplomatic Adviser from UAE.
