Riyadh: The Embassy of India in Riyadh continued its celebration of India’s cultural diversity on Day Four of Pravasi Parichay 2025, the ongoing cultural festival that has brought together the vibrant hues of India’s states under one roof. Launched in 2023, Pravasi Parichay is now in its third edition, running from October 28 to November 3, 2025. Organized by the Indian Embassy in partnership with Indian diaspora associations across Saudi Arabia, the festival celebrates India’s unity in diversity through music, dance, art, and cuisine.

The fourth day of the festival coincided with National Unity Day and the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan paid tribute to Sardar Patel’s enduring legacy, emphasizing his vision of unity and nation-building.

The evening came alive with vibrant performances representing Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Jammu & Kashmir. The Embassy Auditorium resonated with rhythm, color, and emotion as artists showcased classical, folk, and devotional art forms.

From Tamil Nadu came the energetic Classical Drum Performance, Folklore Kids Group Dance, Bharatanatyam, and the traditional martial art Silambam. Jammu & Kashmir’s grace shone through the Rouf Dance, while Maharashtra’s team brought festive joy with Ganesh Aaradhana, a Chatrapati Shivaji tribute, Dahi Handi, Lavani, and folk dances.

Goa’s charm unfolded with the Kunbi Folk Dance, and Telangana performers captivated the audience with Mathuri and Gussadi folk dances, Bonalu and Bathukamma festival themes, Hyderabadi Marfa Baraat, and soulful Qawwali acts. Andhra Pradesh’s showcase highlighted traditional elements like Gangamma, Arthanareeshwar, Varaha, and Classical Dance, reflecting the state’s deep artistic roots.
Beyond the performances, visitors explored state-themed stalls displaying traditional crafts, regional cuisines, and cultural artifacts turning the Embassy grounds into a miniature India. With two more state-day programs scheduled for November 1 and 2, Pravasi Parichay 2025 continues to offer the Indian community in Saudi Arabia a chance to relive and share India’s rich heritage. The festival will conclude on November 3 with Gita Mahotsav, a special event dedicated to the timeless message of the Bhagavad Gita.
