
RIYADH: ‘Vasantham-2023’ was launched in Riyadh, featuring Kerala’s diverse cultural and artistic performances. Thousands of people attended the event, which was held in Al Waleed Auditorium, Exit 18, Riyadh, by the Keli Arts and Culture Centre.

The Keralayam program, which featured traditional and cultural art forms from each of Kerala’s fourteen districts, was remarkable. The performance also included revolutionary songs, folk songs with visuals, Sufi dance lead by Ismail Kodinji, and Kathak dance by Anamika Raj. Kerala’s numerous cultural performances including Yakshaganam, Theyam, Oppana, tribal dance, Kolkali, Ottamtullal, Thrissur Pooram, Parichamut, Margam Kali, Vanchipat, Padayani, Karadi Kali, and temple arts also mesmerized the audience.

The inaugural session was presided over by KPM Sadiq, Secretary of the Central Patronage Committee. The introductory speech was given by a member of the Patronage Committee, Joseph Shaji, and the keynote speech was given by T.R Subramanian.

The welcome speech was given by Secretary Suresh Kannapuram . Surendran Kootai, Kudumbavedi secretary Seeba Koovod, Keli president Sebin Iqbal, and Roda area Patron secretary Suresh Lal also delivered felicitation speeches. Shaji Razak, Convenor of the Cultural Committee, delivered the vote of thanks. The stage was shared by Prabhakaran Kandonthar, Feroze Tayil, Shamir Kunnummal, Chandran Surathath, Kudumbavedi President Priya Vinod, and Treasurer Sreesha Sukesh.
The second part of Vasantham – 2023 will be thriving in sporting events, including Arabian Tug of War, in the following days, according to the organizing committee.
