Riyadh: Izaan Riyas, a student of Dunes International School in Malaz, secured second place in the Sub-Junior category of the Science India Forum (SIF–KSA) World Science Day Online Elocution Competition held on Dec. 5, 2025.

The annual contest is organized in line with World Science Day for Peace and Development, observed on Nov. 10, to promote the importance of science in shaping a peaceful and sustainable future. This year’s event highlighted the UNESCO theme for 2025: “Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow: The Science We Need for 2050.”
SIF–KSA, a voluntary, non-profit organization backed by the National Science Movement of India along with ISRO, CSIR, ICMR, and India’s Ministry of Science and Technology, aims to nurture scientific curiosity among young learners in the Kingdom.

Students from 17 schools across Saudi Arabia participated in the competition. Riyas excelled with his speech on “My Dream Invention for a Better Tomorrow,” earning praise from judges for his clarity, innovation and confident delivery.
