Sri Lankan Business Networking Event in Riyadh Strengthens Gulf Ties

Riyadh: A high-profile business networking event conceptualized by Mr. Palitha Rathnapala witnessed an impressive turnout of Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and investors exploring new avenues in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region.

The event, held on Friday, October 17, 2025, began with the national anthems of Sri Lanka and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, followed by inspiring remarks from distinguished guests. Adding to the occasion’s prestige was the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives. The Chief Guest, Dr. Rukshan Razak, Principal of the Sri Lankan School Riyadh, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of collaboration, innovation, and community development in driving economic progress.

Presentations by leading Sri Lankan companies highlighted the nation’s growing global footprint across sectors such as logistics, real estate, agriculture, technology, and cosmetics. Organizers noted that while over 100 companies had expressed interest, only those with strong business potential were selected to participate.
